"We are awaiting, among other things, results from a larger number of technical examinations and the final autopsy report. Furthermore, more interrogations of the suspect will be held," says Senior Prosecutor Markus Hankkio, who is leading the preliminary investigation.
The investigation is not expected to be completed until after the summer.
The woman was reported missing after a night out last Christmas and was later found murdered. The suspect, a 26-year-old, has admitted to aggravated assault but denies murder.
