Thomas Hertz, a state prosecutor at the Swedish Economic Crimes Authority, wants six of the nine people who were acquitted to be sentenced by the Court of Appeal. In addition, the prosecutor wants one of the principal defendants to be sentenced for another serious insider crime, the business newspaper reports.

Last week, the Stockholm District Court convicted eight of the seventeen defendants for insider trading in connection with transactions involving shares in Pagero. Five were convicted of aggravated insider trading and three of ordinary insider trading.

Four were sentenced to prison, the maximum being two years. The others received suspended sentences with community service or fines.
