Minister of Health Elisabet Lann (KD) received the report on needs-based care on Wednesday. The investigator proposes a shortened care guarantee in specialist care.

According to the proposal, it should take a maximum of ten working days before patients receive notification of when the medical assessment will be carried out.

Patients should receive the medical assessment within 30 days and their planned care within 60 days. Under the current care guarantee, the latter is 90 days.

The Swedish healthcare queues have long been a wet blanket over a healthcare system that has delivered world-class care. Getting care when you need it is absolutely fundamental to trust in Swedish healthcare, says Minister of Health Elisabet Lann (KD).
