No winner will be selected for the eleventh stage of the Tour of Spain in cycling. It became chaotic around the finish area in Bilbao due to pro-Palestinian demonstrations and police had to be called in to remove the demonstrators. Instead, it was announced that the stage time was stopped a bit before the finish line.
"Due to incidents at the finish line, we have decided to stop the clock 3 kilometers before the finish line. There will be no stage winner. We will award points for the mountain prize and sprint prize but not for the finish line", the organizer writes in a statement.
