According to preliminary results, PAM will win 97 seats in parliament. The National Rally of Independents (RNI), which leads the outgoing government coalition, will now win 66 seats, while the right-wing Istiqlal party will win 65.
The Islamist opposition party (PJD) will win 54 seats.
Despite some reforms, the king of Morocco still has a strong grip on power, and both PAM and RNI are close to the royal family.
