Online pharmacy Apotea increased both profit and sales during the first quarter. The company's operating profit amounted to just over SEK 101 million, while sales increased by 10.5 percent to just over SEK 1.9 billion.
"The improved operating profit is explained by increased sales combined with a higher gross margin and continued good cost control," the company says in its interim report.
The company also highlights the new logistics center in Varberg as a strong contributing factor to its growth.
"By increasing the number of shifts and broadening the range in Varberg, we have continued to scale up production and have been able to send out around 27,000 packages in one day," Apotea says.
