"We have had problems with some of our payments," says the Central Student Financial Aid Board (CSN) on its website.
According to the authority, the money will arrive on Monday instead. 20,000 students are affected, Göteborgs-Posten writes.
"We don't know the exact reason yet," says Stefan Tärnhuvud, press secretary at CSN, to the newspaper.
Technical problems also caused payments to be delayed in November, affecting 10,000 people.
