Information about the transfer comes on Tuesday, barely a day after Israel attacked the prison.
"Prisoners serving their sentences in this prison are being moved to other facilities in the province of Tehran," it says on the Ministry of Justice's website according to AFP.

On Tuesday, state media wrote that the attack took place during visiting hours and that both employees and visitors and possibly even prisoners were killed and injured. However, it is unclear how many have fallen victim.
Evin prison houses many political prisoners, including the Swedish-Iranian researcher Ahmadreza Djalali, who has been imprisoned since 2016 and is sentenced to death.
