A person who wrote racist comments directed at Real Madrid players Vinicius Junior and Antonio Rüdiger has been conditionally sentenced to eight months in prison. This is reported by Real Madrid on their website.
The racist attacks took place on the Spanish news site Marca's digital forum. The person used different pseudonyms to insult the players with racist and Islamophobic motives, writes the club.
The conditional prison sentence is dependent on the convicted person's participation in an equality and anti-discrimination program. The person is also not allowed to participate in Marca's forum for 20 months.
This is now the second time a person has been convicted of racism directed at Vinicius Junior, and the first time someone has been convicted of attacks on players that took place online.
