Prison for online trafficking of illegal drugs in Småland

The trade lasted four years and generated a turnover of just over 23 million kronor, writes SMP. The site sold, among other things, diet pills, potency pills, teeth whitening products and hormones.

The products risked causing serious health problems. They were mostly ordered from China, often via encrypted communication. Around 20 so-called gatekeepers handled the profits.

Now a 48-year-old has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for serious tax crimes, serious accounting crimes and serious money laundering. He will also be banned from doing business for ten years.

A 49-year-old man has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison, primarily for aggravated money laundering.

They will also have to pay large tax surcharges, and 1.1 million kronor will be confiscated.
