Among other things, she is said to have been invited to a private screening of the musical Les Misérables on Broadway in 2012 as a personal guest of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
She is also mentioned in an email to Epstein that included a picture purporting to show her.
"Here is a photo of our Sofia - you remember - that is, soon-to-be Princess Sofia... The entire Swedish press is looking for her... While she is in Africa."
The princess has previously appeared in documents released about Epstein, reports SVT Nyheter.
The court has previously stated that Princess Sofia met Epstein in social contexts, and that they have not had contact in the past 20 years.
In November, the US Congress passed a law requiring the release of all documents related to the Epstein investigation by December 19. The process has been criticized for being too slow. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has pointed out that it has taken time to protect the identities of the more than 1,000 of Epstein's victims who appear in the documents.
Friday's release of the Epstein files is the largest to date. In total, about 3.5 million documents have been released.
TT is seeking comment from the court.
