"We are happy to welcome our newborn daughter to the world. The big brothers are now looking forward to getting to know their new little sister", says Prince Carl Philip in a press release.
The girl was born at Danderyds Hospital at 13.10, Friday, February 7, and Prince Carl Philip was present at the birth.
The Government congratulates the royal couple:
"My and the entire Government's warm congratulations to Princess Sofia, Prince Carl Philip and the big brothers Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian, who today have got a new family member. We wish the family all the best", says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson according to a press release.
The royal couple has previously had three children – Prince Alexander born 2016, Prince Gabriel born 2017 and Prince Julian born 2021.
