Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra breaks her silence about the allegations against her brother Marius Borg Høiby.

"What he is accused of is difficult for me, especially as a sister, and for the rest of the family. And not least, of course, for everyone affected by the case," she tells the newspaper VG .

Marius Borg Høiby is the son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. He is charged with 32 crimes, including assault and four counts of rape. He has admitted to some of the crimes, but denied the rape charges. The trial is expected to begin in January.

When asked what she means by “especially as a sister,” she answers:

I don't know if I want to go into that much more.

Ingrid Alexandra also does not want to comment on whether she has any contact with her brother.

The 21-year-old princess has been living and studying in Sydney since last summer. She tells NRK, which also met her there, that she has been able to keep a low profile.

I feel free as a student, I definitely feel like I can be myself.
