Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale in Africa in 2006 in memory of Princess Diana. The organisation is now suing him for defamation after he stepped down as patron last year.

Sentebale, which supports young people living with HIV in Botswana and Lesotho, has filed a lawsuit in England's High Court.

The application states that Harry is being sued for defamation as a result of a "coordinated negative media campaign that damaged the reputation of the organization, its management and partners."

Conflict arose within Sentebale in 2023 over a new fundraising strategy. Harry and co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho stepped down as patrons in March 2025.
