Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale in Africa in 2006 in memory of Princess Diana. The organisation is now suing him for defamation after he stepped down as a patron in March 2025.
Sentebale, which supports young people living with HIV in Botswana and Lesotho, has filed a lawsuit in England's High Court.
The application states that Harry is being sued for either libel or defamation, but British media have not been able to determine exactly what constitutes the alleged defamation.
Conflict arose within Sentebale in 2023 over a new fundraising strategy. Harry and co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho stepped down as patrons in March 2025.
