In the fall of 2021, a female priest reported that she had been threatened via letters.
"Your time is soon over. Then you will DIE and I will come to liberate you!", it said in one of the letters.
The woman's work was referred to in the threatening letters, and some letters contained knives.
The police implemented security measures at a cost of millions, and the woman claimed to have been harassed on several occasions, which led to them responding 20 times.
In 2023, the woman claimed to have been assaulted by a masked man. She was then taken to the hospital and operated on, but the incident seemed unlikely to both hospital staff and the police, who initiated an investigation into false alarm. The woman was prosecuted in 2024. By then, she had already been bought out by her employer the year before. The woman is now sentenced to probation for ten cases of false alarm.
According to a former colleague, the woman was periodically depressed but became in a good mood every time she received a new threat.
It was a positive energy. She got high on receiving threatening letters, said the colleague during the trial, according to DN.
