A neighbor raised the alarm after seeing the man watching child pornography on a screen facing the street. A search of the man's home turned up over 100,000 child pornography images and films. Of these, 396 images and 40 films were deemed to be particularly inhumane abuse material.
The man has not been employed by the Church of Sweden for several years but has had sporadic assignments in the form of church services, even as recently as earlier this year. If the verdict becomes final, the man risks being deposed by the cathedral chapter.
