The collaboration shooter, which Arrowhead in Stockholm is behind, also took home a statuette for best technical innovation at the gala held earlier in the week, writes Games Industry.
Last week, "Helldivers 2" was also praised at the Golden Joystick Award game gala in London, where the game received the award for console game of the year, best multiplayer game, best trailer, and critics' choice.
The Golden Joystick has been awarded annually since 1983, where most of the prizes are voted for by visitors to the Games Radar website.
"Helldivers 2" also has several chances to take home prizes at this year's edition of "The Game Awards", the most notable gala within gaming. There, "Star Wars Outlaws", developed by Malmö studio Massive, also has several chances of winning.
