A pregnant woman has been severely assaulted in Malmö. There are suspicions that the crime is honour-related, writes Sydsvenskan.
The police were alerted on Monday evening that the woman and a man had been assaulted in an apartment. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
There has been quite a lot of violence. Fortunately, the fetus appears to be okay, says prosecutor Charlotte Ottosen to the newspaper.
Later on Monday evening, three people were arrested, a 45-year-old woman and two young men. They have since been detained.
At the latest by Friday, the prosecutor will decide whether the suspects should be requested to be detained or released on bail.
