Egyptian fencer Nada Hafez competes in the Olympic Games in Paris despite being seven months pregnant.
26-year-old Hafez reveals on Instagram that she "is carrying a little Olympian".
"My baby and I have had our fair share of challenges, both psychological and emotional", wrote Hafez after the victory in the first round against Elizabeth Tartakovsky, USA.
"Pregnancy is a tough rollercoaster in itself, trying to find balance between ordinary life and sports made it no less strenuous, even if it was worth it."
"I'm writing this to tell how proud I am to have secured a spot in the round of 16."
There, she lost to Jeon Hayoung from South Korea.
