The fuel group Preem, with 1,600 employees at refineries and gas stations in Sweden, is turning a profit after several quarters of losses.

The company reported a profit of SEK 796 million for the third quarter. This compares with a loss of SEK 1.8 billion in the same period in 2024. However, sales fell slightly compared to the same quarter last year.

"European margins for diesel, gasoline and renewable products were at good levels during the quarter compared to the historical average," says CEO Magnus Heimburg in a press release.

Fuel group Preem has been acquired by Swiss energy group Varo Energy. The deal, however, requires certain approvals before it can go through.
