The restart of a facility at Preem's diesel refinery in Lysekil, which has been upgraded to run on tall oil and other vegetable oils, is being postponed until January, Preem writes in a press release.
The goal was previously to start production as early as November.
Preem attributes the delays in the project to a fire in a transformer in November. The transformer will now be replaced before the restart of the facility.
According to Preem, the delayed restart will have a negative impact on the result for the fourth quarter of 2024, but it is unclear how large the financial impact will be.
