It was Skellefteå icon Jimmie Ericsson's "hero game". Then Pär Lindholm remade Ericsson's ten-year-old classic and scored against Timrå in the SHL.

It was like it was written in the stars.

Pär Lindholm matched Jimmie Ericsson's 2016 feat, scoring directly from a free kick, in the same match in which Ericsson was honored by the home crowd.

During the evening, Skellefteå premiered a new "hero match" concept, with Ericsson the first celebrated hero.

As an extra gesture after the goal, Lindholm turned to the stands and waved to Ericsson. TV cameras captured the moment, with the club icon smiling broadly.

Ericsson ended his career in 2020, and in 2022 his jersey was hoisted in the Skellefteå arena.

Skellefteå beat Timrå 7–4.
