After just over three months and 41 draws without a winner, the prize amount has accumulated and is up to 1.7 billion dollars, equivalent to over 16 billion kronor.
This can be compared to 1.25 billion kronor, which is the highest Swedish win so far and which was won in March this year.
If there is a win in the next draw, on Saturday, however, no record will be broken – the USA's largest jackpot was won in 2022 and landed at 2.04 billion dollars, which then corresponded to 22 billion kronor.
The winning lottery ticket at that time was sold at a gas station in the Los Angeles area.
