Around 800,000 households in Kyiv have had the power restored after Russian attacks caused extensive power outages during the night towards Friday.

Ukraine's largest private electricity company, DTEK, announces that the main work of restoring the power supply has been completed after the massive attack where 20 people were injured and several residential buildings were destroyed.

The energy supply has been an important target for Russia since the full-scale invasion began. Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko describes the attack as one of the largest concentrated attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.
