On Monday night, the national team goalkeeper played 90 minutes for Stoke's U21 team - four months after his last match at the end of December.

Johansson has been plagued by a shoulder injury and missed the playoff matches against Ukraine and Poland at the end of March.

Before the injury, he was a regular at Stoke in the English second division. He has played twelve international matches for Sweden, the most recent being the World Cup qualifier against Switzerland in November last year.

Recently, national team player Jacob Widell Zetterström also made a comeback in Derby after a long absence.

Sweden plays its World Cup opener on June 15 against Tunisia in Monterrey, Mexico.
