Täby, Vallentuna and Vaxholm are the last to receive their early votes by mail.
"They may already have received the votes while we are talking to each other. Everything is on track and, generally in the country, everything is clear," says Porelius at 4:30 p.m.
Over 3.6 million Swedes have voted early. The votes were supposed to be delivered to polling stations when they opened - at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning - but in several places in Greater Stockholm, deliveries were delayed.
According to the Election Authority, delays in the vote count in the affected districts cannot be ruled out.
Unexpectedly many early votes
According to Postnord, the increase in early voting was not predictable.
Normally, we expect early voting to increase by five to ten percent every election - we are closer to 20 percent now, says Porelius.
We can't speed things up, but we do everything and make sure everything is correct. And when we have done it, it has taken a little longer than we said.
The trouble with early voting is not only noticeable in Greater Stockholm.
The post went wrong.
In Hjällbo in Gothenburg, a handful of people were sent home without having voted, citing that early voting was delayed. But in that case, it was a human factor, as the mail happened to go to the wrong district, according to Postnord.
Frida Nowotny, head of elections for the City of Gothenburg, emphasizes that this was a mistake and that it is the vote you cast on election day that counts. It does not matter if the early vote is not in the venue when you cast your new vote on election day, according to her.
"It's serious even though they still encourage them to come back later in the day. It's the first day on the job for voter turners working on election day. There are a lot of instructions they have to handle," she writes in an email to TT.
