More than 3.6 million Swedes have voted early. The votes were supposed to be delivered to the polling stations when they opened - at 8 am on Sunday morning - but in several places in Greater Stockholm, deliveries are delayed.
We note that the pressure has been above our forecast. Normally, we expect early voting to increase by five to 10 percent in each election - we are closer to 20 percent now, says Anders Porelius, press manager at Postnord.
In Greater Stockholm, the delay can be around four hours.
According to him, the delays only apply to Greater Stockholm, but reports are also coming in from Hjällbo about missing early votes. A handful of people at the Bergsgårdsskolan polling station in Hjällbo have had to turn back home without having voted, as early votes are delayed. The votes are needed in cases where someone wants to change their vote and vote again.
"We have had to ask them to come back a little later today," says one of the election officials.
