Postnord resumes from Thursday onwards shipments of packages to the USA and Puerto Rico, according to a press release.

Previously, Postnord and several postal operators in other countries have paused certain shipments to the USA and Puerto Rico. The decision was made as a result of the USA removing the exemption for import duty on smaller packages with a declared value of approximately 7,500 kronor on August 29.

Postnord has, among other things, introduced the service Postal delivered duties paid (PDDP) in order to meet the new customs requirements. This applies to customers in both Sweden and Denmark.

Ordinary letters have not been affected by the pause, nor have shipments sent from the USA to Sweden.
