Welsh singer Duffy had been out of the public eye for ten years when, six years ago, she revealed in an Instagram post that she had been kidnapped, drugged and raped. But then the artist went silent again.
Now she's ready to tell the whole story in an upcoming documentary on Disney+, which was presented at the ongoing Cannes television festival.
The documentary will depict Duffy's upbringing and breakthrough, and "how she retreated from the spotlight after the unimaginable event that befell her," Disney+ said in a statement.
