Swedish households have generally gained higher financial margins and feel less worried about the future, the survey shows.

At the same time, families with lower incomes are just as financially vulnerable as before.

It is especially difficult for single parents.

Half of single people in the survey have difficulty buying nutritious food for every day of the week. For cohabiting people, the figure is 34 percent.

41 percent of single people say they cannot eat enough.

The survey was conducted for the fourth year in a row on behalf of the Tenants' Association, Majblomman, Save the Children and the Red Cross.
