This can contribute to young women hesitating or refraining from having children, according to a report by Social Affairs Minister Jakob Forssmed (KD).
Since 1980, single people with children, mainly young women, have lagged behind other groups in society in terms of income growth. Their incomes have increased much more slowly than those of single people without children.
