The pony Pippi belonged to Camilla Nordström's daughter. The mother tells Ystads Allehanda that the pony can be seen in the surveillance footage sleeping peacefully when the wolf suddenly appears.
Pippi ran a lap and the wolf ran after her like a gray shadow. Then the wolf knocked her over and started biting her in the hindquarters. She didn't have a chance, Camilla Nordström tells the newspaper.
Her partner heard noises from the horse paddock and ran out to try to scare the wolf away. The pony was so badly injured that it had to be euthanized.
