The Social Democratic municipal politician Mattias Ahlenhed called his party colleague a "fat, ugly pig-like fascist" and conveyed implicit death threats. Now he is being prosecuted for the threats, reports SVT News Västernorrland.

Ahlenhed is being prosecuted for having sent an email to party colleague and regional politician Roger Johansson, where among other things he explained that he would not regret if someone approached him with an elk rifle.

He also described the party colleague as "a fat, ugly pig-like fascist".

The background is the infected struggle surrounding Sollefteå hospital. There has been a deep rift within the Social Democrats in the region for a long time regarding the issue of the hospital.

Mattias Ahlenhed has previously been forced away from his political assignments in Sollefteå.
