Even in China, leading indexes were in the minus, with the composite index in Shanghai and Shenzhen at minus 0.4 and minus 0.8 percent, respectively. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index was down minus 0.6 percent.
In Tokyo, on the other hand, it was plus, with the Nikkei 225 index up 0.3 percent and the broader Topix index up 0.4 percent.
