Nyberg is on leave from her job at the police's national operations department, Noa. Now the agency wants her "to be dismissed from her employment," writes Dagens Nyheter.
A report to the Human Resources Board states that Nyberg "grossly disregarded her obligations to the employer."
In the meantime, Nyberg was stopped on suspicion of drunk driving and rapid tests indicated suspected drug use. She has denied the allegations.
Chief Prosecutor Anders Jakobsson has not yet decided whether he will proceed with the investigation and press charges.
Katja Nyberg has left the Sweden Democrats and remains in the Riksdag, sitting as an independent.
