The performance was free and over two million people flocked to Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday evening.
The police say that they collaborated with the Ministry of Justice and that the attack was planned by a group that promotes hate propaganda and radicalization of teenagers. The two arrested are a teenager and an adult, the police report. In total, the police have conducted house searches at 15 people in Brazil and seized phones and other technical equipment.
”The suspects recruited participants, including minors, to carry out coordinated attacks using improvised explosives and Molotov cocktails,” the police say in a statement.
The Ministry of Justice, on the other hand, reports that the recruiters identified themselves as members of Gaga's global fan base, known as "Little Monsters".
The concert ultimately went off without problems.
