Police Shoot Man in Leg During Uppsala Operation

A man was shot by the police in connection with an operation in Uppsala. The man was injured in the leg and has been taken to hospital.

According to the police, the man had behaved threateningly and confusedly and had been carrying a knife during the intervention.

"The police experienced the situation as threatening and fired warning shots and live rounds at the suspect's leg in order to be able to apprehend him", the police write on their website.

The shot man's injuries are not life-threatening. He is suspected of gross unlawful threats.
