A person has been arrested after a major police operation in Gothenburg where a suspected hazardous object has been found.
The police have cordoned off a larger area in Vasastan in central Gothenburg and the National Bomb Protection has been called to the scene.
According to the police, the initial crime classification is attempted public destruction as well as a crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods.
It is a larger area that is cordoned off, which of course has consequences, especially for public transport, says the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr to TT.
According to Göteborgs-Posten residents in the area are said to have been accommodated. There is no information about personal injuries or material damage.
