Initially, two schools in Södermalm in Lycksele chose to remain locked down. Since then, some students have had to leave, but not all, according to Västerbottens-Kuriren.
We received a tip to the police today about this incident involving several schools, which we took seriously and went to check, police spokesperson Elin Andersson tells TT.
The tip came from a person near one of the schools, but the police are not saying what it was about.
Later, a third school, in a different neighborhood, was placed under lockdown after “a person in work clothes” was seen with an object in his hand. That lockdown has been lifted.
In connection with the police operation, a person in the vicinity jumped out of a window and injured himself, but no other injured or suspicious persons have been found, the police write.
Police are urging the public not to spread rumors.
