The police were suspected of unauthorized photography of a protected object, but now the investigation has been dropped, reports Smålandsposten.

The pictures were taken inside a police station and the man has defended himself by saying that he had spare time during a night shift and wanted to show pictures of his work situation.

”We should be visible and we should talk about what we work with and where we are,” he said during the interrogation. He has also pointed out that he did not see the signs surrounding the police station, which state that photography is prohibited.

The prosecutor has dropped the investigation, citing that it is not possible to prove that the police officer had intent or that he committed criminal negligence.
