Police were called to a restaurant in Nyfors, near Tunavallen, at 5 p.m. on Monday. A 25-year-old man was found there with serious gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment.
At 7:15 p.m., police announced that the man had died.
"The crime classification is now murder," says police spokesperson Mats Pettersson.
- Right now we are working intensively to analyze traces from the crime scene. We do not have anyone in custody, so the search is ongoing.
In addition, surveillance camera footage from the restaurant and the surrounding area is being examined, and witnesses are being interviewed.
By 9 p.m., no one had been arrested.
