Five people have been arrested on suspicion of serious weapons offences at a school in Limhamn in Malmö on Thursday, according to the police.

It concerns an 18-year-old man and four underage boys who are all students at the school.

According to the police, a total of seven people between 16 and 18 years old were arrested after the incident, but two have been released by the prosecutor.

I don't know if the prosecutor has dropped them from the investigation, but it's something the prosecutor has to answer, says the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Bratt.

The police were called to the school at 12:30 due to reports that a weapon had been found at the school. The police suspect that the weapon was real.

Fredrik Bratt says on Thursday evening that they are still investigating the weapon. He doesn't want to go into what kind of weapon it is.

We're working on the assumption that it's a real weapon. But we clearly have to investigate it and get it confirmed.
