The assault allegedly took place after the woman was taken to a detention center in Bobigny north of Paris, according to prosecutor Eric Mathais.
The 26-year-old woman accuses the police officers, according to sources aged 23 and 35, of raping her on two occasions during the night of Wednesday. Both men have now been suspended from duty.
The woman was on trial for allegations that she had failed to fulfill her obligations as a parent, writes the French newspaper Le Monde.
France has recently been shaken by several high-profile rape cases that have led to debate about consent.
On Wednesday, the French Senate voted in favor of introducing a consent law, similar to the legislation that already exists in countries such as Sweden and Norway.
