According to the ministry, a person threw an explosive device at a parked police car. One police officer was killed and two were injured.
The suspect was also reportedly killed at the scene.
In Ukraine, attacks have also been directed at police officers in recent days. On Sunday night, a police officer was killed in Lviv in a suspected terrorist attack, and on Monday evening, seven police officers were injured in an explosion in the city of Mykolaiv.
