A police officer in Alingsås has been injured by an accidental shot from their own weapon.
In connection with an exercise during the day at a shooting range in Alingsås, an incident occurred where the colleague fired their weapon and hit their own leg, says the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
The police officer was taken to hospital and the condition is reportedly stable according to initial reports. The incident has been reported to the police.
