The police officer was arrested early on April 14. In addition to suspicions that he leaked information, he is also suspected of several cases of serious data breaches. The crimes are said to have occurred over a period of several years.
"I can confirm that it concerns a police officer, but otherwise I cannot say much more," Per Nichols, chief prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office, told the newspaper.
He did not want to say whether the officer leaked information from one or more preliminary investigations.
