One evening last November a police car chased a man fleeing on an electric scooter in central Malmö. At an intersection, on a road where the speed limit was 40 kilometers per hour, the police car was reportedly traveling at 106 kilometers per hour. It then skidded, drove off the road and into the traffic lights.

No one was injured in the accident. The police officer who drove the police car is charged with reckless driving. He denies any wrongdoing.
