A police officer is being prosecuted after a wild chase of a motorcyclist in Ljungskile, local media reports. The police officer drove into the motorcycle, whose driver was injured.

The driver is thrown off the motorcycle, does a somersault and ends up in the ditch. He gets a rib fracture and the hip is dislocated. It's a completely horrible behavior, says prosecutor Jim Westerberg to Göteborgs-Posten.

The policeman is prosecuted for assault and reckless driving.

The drama occurred in March. The motorcyclist refused to stop for the police and it became an intense chase.

Finally, a police officer managed to stop the motorcycle by ramming it off the road with the police car. The policeman drove on the wrong side of the road and drove into the motorcycle from the front.

The police officer, who denies the crime, admits that he was on the wrong side of the road but says that it was not intended to drive into the motorcycle. According to him, he was only going to turn the car to get a better position in the pursuit.

The motorcycle driver, who is suspected of serious drunk driving and serious unauthorized driving, has said in interrogation that he refused to stop for the police because he did not have a driver's license.
