The seizure was made on Sunday afternoon at the Pokémon Fair, which runs from October 3 to 4. The police have launched an investigation into the independent seizure.
“This means that the police encounter someone with assets that do not seem to be in proportion to the person's known income,” police spokesman Johan Håkansson told the newspaper.
The police are present throughout the fair. Håkansson explains that Pokémon cards can be valued at very high amounts and that they have sometimes been used for money laundering. However, it is not clear what value the seizure involves.
No one is suspected or arrested in the case.
