Several police patrols and the national bomb squad have investigated a serious crime in a residence in Skåne's Klippan during the night leading up to Sunday. It was when the police arrived at the scene on Saturday evening that they discovered what was suspected to be explosive objects. They have been taken into custody and will be further analyzed by technicians.

A police operation was initiated at 9 pm after we suspected that a serious crime had taken place. We have had several resources on site with technicians and the national bomb squad, but unfortunately, I cannot say more about what has happened, says Conny Strömberg, duty officer at the Police Region South.

At 5 am, the cordons were lifted and the police concluded their work at the scene. No one is reported to have been injured and there is no danger to the general public, according to the police. A dog has, however, been taken into custody.

Two people have been arrested, suspected of serious crimes related to flammable and explosive goods.
