The investigation began a few days after actress Ruby Rose accused Katy Perry of sexually assaulting her in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010.
In a post on social media this weekend, Rose, known for "Orange is the New Black," wrote:
"Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne."
The post has now been deleted.
Police confirmed in a statement to CNN that they are investigating Ruby Rose's allegations.
"As the investigation is still ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage," a police spokesperson said.
Katy Perry denies all allegations.
